(Or, the biggest piece of BS I wrote in tenth grade, bar four)

Bear in mind I received full credit for this

This really long, two page to be exact, poem, is quite amazing for several reasons. First, there is the massive amount of irony in the title. The title, "Please Hear What I Am Not Saying," is quite ironic when taken literally, seeing as not saying anything makes no noise, hence there is nothing to hear. Quite ironic.

Second, the rhythm of the poetry is slightly uneven due to the fact that none of the lines are set in rhyme. Although this is not uncommon, it is still quite strange when attempting a sing-along.

Third, it can be derived that this poem tries to illustrate how people disguise their feelings so others will see them positively. However, they only realize pain and humiliation when they are uncovered as the fakes and phonies they are when trying to impress others. This proves that people should act and behave the way they feel is right, even if it goes against the majority of society.

Finally, this poem is the only two-page piece of poetry that I have ever been assigned to me to write a 300 word report on. This report is consisting of a frontispiece, or title page, and this, the actual report, which consists of 300 words. However, I have a large degree of doubt in how I shall be able to complete 300 words in the short amount of time allotted towards this project.

Nevertheless, seeing as at the end of the preceeding paragraph, the word count was 237, I shall attempt to fulfill the extra 63 word requirement.

So, in review, this poem has/is 1) a unique title, 2) no rhythm, therefore is difficult to sing-along, 3) gone against society, and 4) the only poem that I have ever been assigned to write a 300-word report on.

Done!
